•There's been a lot of talk about superhero fatigue, and that Marvel Cinematic Universe having become less and less of a selling point in and of itself (and I agree the cross-movie mega-story has been completely unmoored and ponderous compared to the early days; the producers never bothered to replace the original hook of building The Avengers team and then building towards the Thanos conflict with the Infinity gems/stones, so there hasn't really been any narrative momentum since Endgame). Regardless, I think this particular film did a rather remarkable job of being a Spider-Man story while also being so firmly set within the/a Marvel Universe that it could pull characters and concepts from all over the publisher's works without too much strain.I mean, in addition to all the expected Spider-Man supporting characters and some Spider-Man villains (whose roles vary from considerable, like that of The Scorpion, to barely-there, like Tombstone, Boomerang and The Tarantula), the film also makes substantial use of The Punisher (although, given his origins, maybe we could consider him a Spider-Man character too...?), The Hulk, The Avengers via Black Widow, Daredevil's The Hand, Damage Cont...
