The first in a five-issue limited series from IDW Publishing, Star Trek: Voyager - Homecoming celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of the beloved series, which premiered on UPN on Jan. 16, 1995. Per the official synopsis for Star Trek: Voyager - Homecoming from IDW, "Captain Kathryn Janeway and her crew are back for one last adventure in celebration of Voyager's 30th anniversary! Picking up where the series finale left off, Voyager has just returned to Earth. Everyone is looking forward to reuniting with their friends and family after the crucibles they've faced — but there is a deadly secret in store, one that takes the crew far from home. Voyager delves back into the breach, all those aboard determined to make it back to their loved ones no matter what, even if there's hell to pay."

Nakayama himself said of the newly unveiled cover, "As a lifelong Star Trek fan, I have to say that drawing this cover was a particularly special treat. Not only was it my first time actually drawing the characters, but I just had such a good time revisiting the world (galaxy?) of Voyager and researching minute details like the shop’s hull plating, the exact placement of Janeway's pips, the texture on Seven's outfit. Great fun, and glad to have the opportunity!"

Heroes from both franchises appear together on Jim Lee's Marvel vs DC cover.

This Year's Marvel and DC Crossover Will Feature These 2 Legendary Heroes

Two of the greatest characters in Marvel and DC Comics history are about to meet their match in each other when the next big crossover arrives.

The original Star Trek: Voyager introduced Kate Mulgrew as Captain Kathryn Janeway, commander of the Intrepid-class USS Voyager. During her very first mission, Janeway and her crew are unexpectedly rocketed across the cosmos, leaving them stranded tens of thousands of light-years away from home. Worse still, Janeway is forced to destroy the one chance that they had of returning home with ease, opening the door for dozens of adventures to come. Since its premiere, Star Trek: Voyager has become a favorite among fans, particularly its middle seasons.

Portrayed by Jeri Ryan, Seven of Nine was introduced in the two-part episode entitled "Scorpion," which bridged the third and fourth seasons of Star Trek: Voyager. Born as Annika, the future Star Trek icon was only four years old when her parents brought her along on a research trip that led them into direct contact with the menacing Borg. Although they were successful in evading the Borg for quite some time, the family was eventually discovered and assimilated. After being disconnected from the wider Borg Collective, Seven of Nine's nature as an individual and personality resurfaced, kicking off one of the deepest interpersonal dramas in franchise history, all while setting Seven of Nine up to leave the Borg Collective behind and embark upon her own journey along wiht the crew of the USS Voyager.
