Alien: Earth S2 Finally in Production With Major Cast Additions

After 47 years, 10 movies, and two Predator crossovers, the Alien franchise finally has a television series. The show was announced in 2019 with Ridley Scott and FX involved. After years of waiting, Alien: Earth arrived in 2025. Created by Noah Hawley, Alien: Earth is a prequel to the 1979 movie. It takes place two years earlier in its own timeline. The first season follows the USCSS Maginot, a deep-space research ship carrying dangerous biological samples. When it crashes on Earth, Wendy, a young hybrid woman played by Sydney Chandler, and a group of soldiers face the planet’s most dangerous threat. Season 2 entered production in June 2026, and a new video shared on X confirms that work is underway.
