Growing up in rural Iowa as a reluctant reader, it all changed when he started reading the original Fantastic Four by Lee/Kirby. Now Austin can't stop reading. He has written about comics for Comic Book Yeti and he has also written tons of indie comics, best known for Big Guns Stupid Rednecks.

Zombozo could face off against Ben himself in Ben 10's comic series, according to a variant cover seen online.

Zombozo is a clown in a traveling circus who feeds on fear. He first appeared in the first season of the original Ben 10 cartoon as one of Ben’s earliest antagonists. Zombozo was also accompanied by three creepy clown henchmen with superhuman abilities: one with acid breath, another with superhuman strength, much like Four Arms, and a third who could control her hair like tentacles. Though Zombozo feeds on fear, he is still capable of experiencing it himself, ultimately being defeated by Ben’s alien Ghostfreak.

Dynamite Entertainment has yet to confirm the announcement of Zomobozo's return properly, yet with the post citing the cover hailing from Reb Spiller's portfolio, fans can anticipate the nightmarish clown to make his way back into the Ben 10 universe sometime soon.

Zombozo Terrified Cartoon Fans Everywhere

The Ben 10 cartoon launched in 2005 on Cartoon Network and has since spawned several animated series, live-action movies, toy lines, and comics, making it a multimedia empire. The Dynamite Entertainment series launched in April 2026, and fans have been vocal about their excitement for the new comic book series based on the cartoon. The original creators of Ben 10, Man of Action, have returned as the creative team for the new series.

Man of Action Entertainment comprises comic book creators Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau, and Steven T. Seagle and was founded in 1999. They are most famously known for creating Ben 10, but also created Cartoon Network's Generator Rex, and the characters used in Disney's Big Hero 6 franchise. Their return to the franchise was met with great anticipation from fans of the franchise. Having been around in some way, shape, or form for the last 21 years, Ben 10 has truly held the test of time.

“For Ben 10 fans, both new and old, we’re committed to giving you everything you could possibly want in this series. We’ve got every previous incarnation to draw from, and we’re not holding anything back. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again… this is the most ‘Absolute’ Ben 10 you can get!” Casey said on his Substack.

With such a huge cast of characters to pull from, there is much speculation as to which of Ben's aliens and the rest of the cast will appear in the series and what role they will have. Who will be next to enter the pages of the comic? Will it be Hex, or could it be Doctor Animo?

Zombozo has always stood out as one of the darkest of Ben's foes. By feeding on fear and, at times, controlling a zombie army, it sets him apart from the other villains who only seek the Onmitrix. It is still unknown how big of a part Zombozo will have in the new series, but his cover debut is truly horrifying. Without the restrictions of a kids’ cartoon, Man of Action could push the horror elements to the next level and put Zombozo straight into readers' nightmares.

The Ben 10 comic from Dynamite Entertainment can be found wherever comic books are sold.
