Prime Video has announced that Season 2 of Chris Pratt’s action series The Terminal List will premiere on October 21, bringing back the popular military thriller for fans who have been waiting since the first season debuted in 2022.

The streaming platform confirmed the second season will follow the plot of Jack Carr’s novel True Believer, which takes James Reece on what Prime Video describes as “a journey of violent redemption, finding a new purpose after finishing his list.” The psychological revenge elements of the first season will expand into “a globe-trotting espionage thriller taking Reece across the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.”

Pratt returns as the lead character, joined by Tom Hopper, Constance Wu, Dar Salim, and Luke Hemsworth in the new season.

The series joins other successful action thrillers on streaming platforms including Jack Ryan, Reacher, and The Night Agent, marking what industry observers call a renaissance of adult-oriented, grounded storytelling in the action genre.

Production delays for Season 2 were largely due to Pratt’s busy schedule, which included starring roles in films like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Electric State, and Mercy, along with voice work in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and The Garfield Movie.

A prequel film titled The Terminal List: Dark Wolf was released in 2025 to hold viewers over, but fans have been eagerly awaiting the continuation of Pratt’s character story.

What sets The Terminal List apart from other crime thrillers is its commitment to military authenticity. Former Navy SEAL Jared Shaw and former Army Ranger Max Adams serve as executive producers, overseeing the realistic portrayal of military tactics. Prime Video states that Season 2 “continues its commitment to portraying the mindset, brotherhood, and moral complexity of Special Operations with respect and realism.”
