Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof is opening his Brentwood home to raise money for Democrat James Talarico’s Texas Senate campaign. It is another reminder that when a major Texas race gets tight, the entertainment industry’s political money machine is ready to roll. Lindelof and his wife, Heidi, are scheduled to host Talarico on September 10, according to an invitation obtained by Politico. Tickets start at $500 and climb to $13,500. That is a steep price for an evening in a wealthy Los Angeles neighborhood, but it says plenty about the people now being asked to shape Texas politics. The extremely woke Talarico is running against Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in a race that has become genuinely close. An Emerson College Polling/Nexstar Media survey conducted August 9 and 10 found Paxton at 47 percent and Talarico at 46 percent among likely voters.
