Releasing as part of the latest edition of the Richard Corben library, Dark Horse Books has announced its latest collection called ROWLF AND OTHER FANTASY STORIES. Written and illustrated by the celebrated artist, Grand Prix at Angoulême award-winner, and Will Eisner Hall of Fame member Richard Corben, this collection features a trilogy of werewolf stories in a beautiful hardcover edition, with a brand new introduction by legendary creator Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away), a postface by project art director José Villarrubia, a cover gallery, original lettering scripts, and so much more.
This newest edition will be a collection of Rowlf (Corben’s fantasy/sci-fi dystopian masterpiece inspired by Beauty and the Beast), The Beast of Wolfton and its sequel The Spirit of the Beast (love stories of a werewolf family saga), and The Story of Oteg (an adaptation of a Japanese legend by Lafcadio Hearn) for the first time and features restored artwork.
About Rowlf and Other Fantasy Stories:
Rowlf is a postmodern take on Beauty and the Beast that mixes high fantasy with
dystopian science fiction. The Beast of Wolfton and its sequel, The Spirit of the Beast,
are ironic love stories of a werewolf family saga. The book closes with a poignant free
adaptation of one of the Japanese legends by Lafcadio Hearn called The Story of Oteg.
