Disney’s D23 Expo in Brazil took place this weekend and we got a bit of interesting news including a release date for the long awaited second season of Star Wars: Andor. The Diego Luna lead spinoff which tells the story of Cassian Andor prior to the events of Rogue One was extremely well received by fans who have been waiting for the planned second season.
Created by Tony Gilroy, the series was always planned for two seasons to cover the five years prior to Andor’s film appearance showing us how he got into the rebellion and his time as a member.
Season one covers the first year while season two will be broken into segments that will cover four years of time. One of the big additions for the second season will be the appearance of Rogue One antagonist Orson Krennic played by Ben Mendelsohn showing that the stakes are getting higher.
The second season will debut on April 22, 2025 on Disney+.
