There are four episodes left to HBO, Max and DC Studios’ The Penguin, and at New York Comic Con the studios gave attendees a tease as to how events could go for kingpin Oz Cobb — and it’s about to get fierce with rival queenpin Sofia Falcone, played by Cristin Milioti.
Colin Farrell’s Oz and Milioti’s Sofia are associates-turned-antagonists, and this trailer shows they’re poised to go war for control of Gotham’s criminal underworld. Sofia has the added motivation of seeking revenge on her former driver, Oz, for murdering her brother Alberto (Michael Zegen).
Fans of The Penguin who filled a conference hall inside Manhattan’s Javits Center on Thursday morning, on the first day of New York Comic Con, saw a panel discussion with six of the show’s stars, including Farrell and Milioti. In addition to the mid-season trailer, they caught a glimpse of two scenes from the series’ upcoming fifth episode, which drops Sunday. Showrunner Lauren LaFranc and makeup designer Mike Marino were also aboard, alongside actors Rhenzy Feliz (Victor Aguilar), Michael Kelly (Johnny Viti), Deirdre O’Connell (Francis Cobb) and Clancy Brown (Salvatore Maroni).
