Flash tries out some new names.
In this arc, Barry Allen has “returned” (or at least appears to have returned), so Wally West feels inferior. Meanwhile, all the old Flashes and Flash-types assemble…
Mark Waid had a great time playing with all the old Flash and Flash-types. And his joy is contagious.
I may be exposing my own ignorance here, because I really don’t know much about Flash, but it looks to me like this is the beginning of the “speed force” concept. I’m pretty sure Mark Waid created the idea during his run.
Anyhow, I’m sure I’m not spoiling it for any Flash fans out there but the reason Barry Allen was acting so odd after his return was….
But since I’m almost a blank Flash slate, for me this was a big reveal, and very, very cool. I’m loving this comic!
