Fighting for free over several decades, Hasbro's G.I. Joe franchise is still most defined by its classic 1980s incarnation, A Real American Hero. This iteration has influenced and inspired almost every version since, from comics to movies, to cartoons and toys, with the latter two inspiring a few collectibles that are set to be exclusive to San Diego Comic-Con.

Fans attending San Diego Comic-Con 2026 will have two convention-exclusive sets of G.I. Joe: Classified figures to choose from. These are the G.I. JOE Classified Series Fatal Fluffies set and the G.I. JOE Classified Series Shipwreck vs Cadet Deming, respectively. Based on rather obscure elements of the brand's iconic 1980s cartoon, these are certain to make the trip across land, sea, and air worth it for collectors.

Hasbro's Newest Convention—Exclusive G.I. Joe Sets Reference the Classic Cartoon

The G.I. JOE Classified Series Fatal Fluffies set references the monstrous beings from the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero episode of the same name. Eschewing the more grounded military aspects of the line, these are vicious, humanoid wildebeest monsters, though the set also includes the creatures' initial form as cute, cuddly mascot-type monsters.

In fact, the inner packaging even resembles a cereal box, complete with zany designs and a puzzle on the back. Along with an angry expression option for its face, the mutated Fatal Fluffy has a fire-breathing effect for its mouth, a whip, and a laser gun. Conversely, there's also a sign with a message from Cobra Commander himself, noting that those who open the box will love the Fatal Fluffies, and this can even be held by the smaller, non-mutated creature. While it might not fit perfectly with the vibe of the rest of the series, it's certainly a deep-cut fan-favorite concept, with the set coming in at $54.99 USD.

For something more traditional that still references the cartoon, there's the G.I. JOE Classified Series Shipwreck vs Cadet Deming set. Based on the two-part episode "There’s No Place Like Springfield," it fittingly features both the G.I. Joe member Shipwreck and the Cobra operative Cadet Deming.

Both figures, like the mutated Fatal Fluffy, are 6" in height, though Shipwreck also comes with his trusty parrot, Polly. Both Shipwreck and Deming have interchangeable hair options, while the Cobra villain even has a full helmet that she can wear. She also has the bulk of the accessories, with these including interchangeable hands, glasses, a knife, a sword, and a small pistol. There's even a panel device for Deming to operate in order to further emulate the scene from the cartoon. It comes in at $64.99 USD, with both sets scheduled to be released through Hasbro Pulse after San Diego Comic-Con.

G.I. Joe: Classified figures can be grabbed at San Diego Comic-Con, or afterwards, for fans who plan not to attend this year's event.
