He-Man Returns After Major Movie Remake With New Unseen Adventures

The reception for the 2026 reboot of Masters of the Universe wasn't as warm as Amazon MGM Studios would've liked, at least not at the box office. Things might go a bit better for the Nicholas Galitzine-led project in the streaming world on PVOD and Prime video, eventually, and the franchise continues to surprise with something new for comic book fans.

There hasn't been a shortage of He-Man content in that realm as of late, that's for sure, but the upcoming Masters of the Universe: Revolution (Library Edition) is packed with enough power to make Castle Grayskull blush with envy.

Dark Horse Comics has enlisted some of the best in the industry for Masters of the Universe: Revolution (Library Edition), and it doesn't hold back in its nearly 400 pages; and it not being a paperback makes it that much easier to treat as a collector's item when it hits shelves in November 2026.

He-Man, Masters of the Universe Are Here to Stay

Yup, you read that correctly — both Kevin Smith and Tim Sheridan are locked in for this He-Man release, and that can only mean good news for this version of the Masters of the Universe, hopefully better than the rough go at the box office earlier in early June.

Dolph Lundgren Confused by Masters of the Universe Box Office Struggles

"Yeah, I was a bit disappointed," Lundgren said. "I mean, everybody told me it’s going to do great. I’m not a huge believer in looking at the box office and that influencing how I feel that much emotionally about the picture. But I did think about it like, 'Oh, okay. That was strange that didn’t do better.'"

Lundgren, the original live-action He-Man, hopes that doesn't spell the end of the cinematic reboot.

"Will Nick be signing swords for 40 years, like I have been? I don’t know," he said. "I mean, it’s hard to gauge movies by the box office as well. Sometimes you have a huge box office hit that becomes a classic, or sometimes it makes a lot of money, but nobody cares 20 years later. And there’s also the other one, the other version where it didn’t do that well, but people care a lot, you know, 50 years later."

Dark Horse Comics will likely not suffer a similar fate with Masters of the Universe: Revolution (Library Edition) — a must-read for longtime fans of He-Man.
