Look what arrived in the mail yesterday. Yes, it's my very own copy of the extremely expensive 960-page hardcover omnibus containing almost all of the DC/Marvel crossovers ever published, many of which I have never before read (Of those contained in this volume, I think I've only read the '90s Batman ones and that great Roger Stern-written, Steve Rude-penciled Incredible Hulk/Superman.)
At first, I wasn't sure how I should handle this book, blogging-wise. I could of course simply cover it in my monthly review column, as it is a book I bought this month, but given the current rate at which I consume comics, I assume it's going to take me more than a month to read this thing.
So instead, I think I'll review my way through it, devoting a post to each new chapter/crossover as I read it. In addition to more thoroughly covering the book, that will mean much more frequent posts here on EDILW for a bit.
I hope to start reading it this week, so look for the first post about it in the near-ish future. In the meanwhile, the next A Month of Wednesdays post goes up, um, Wednesday, so come back for that, and reviews of everything I read in the month of October.
