Jaafar Jackson says the planned sequel to Michael will tell the late singer’s side of the child abuse allegations that followed him during the final decades of his life. His comments are already raising concerns that the film could become a defense of Michael Jackson instead of a full account of the controversy. Jackson, who played his uncle in the first film, discussed the sequel in a new interview with GQ Middle East. He said the story should focus on Michael’s point of view because the allegations have mostly been told by other people. “I think the second film will give even more insight from his point of view, because at the end of the day, [the allegations] are always from someone else’s,” Jaafar said. “It’s someone else’s story.
