Artists, musicians, and comedians have reportedly thanked podcast kind Joe Rogan for supporting Donald Trump, because they were afraid to do so for fear of having their careers destroyed. In an interview with Josh Dubin, a legal advisor in New York, Rogan pointed out that the radical left’s repressive speech rules and cancel culture make far too many Americans fearful of exercising their First Amendment rights to free speech.
“So you know how many artists that have reached out to me that are like fucking hippies, man! Like artists, like musicians, comedians, that thanked me for endorsing Trump because they can’t do it.” Rogan endorsed Donald Trump on the day before Election Day, following the failure of the Kamala Harris team to agree to be interviewed by Joe Rogan in October.
“They said they want to but they don’t want to get attacked,” the nation’s most popular podcaster continued. “They can’t say it. They think the country’s going in the wrong direction They think that this control of social media by the government which we would have pretty much fully if it wasn’t for Elon Musk buying Twitter.”

“This is a dangerous precedent to set, whether it’s a right-wing government or a left-wing government. And what you see that’s happening in the UK where people are being imprisoned for tweets and Facebook posts… The whole thing is nuts, ” he added. “And it’s a dangerous path that we were on. We were on that path. Trump has vowed to have free speech become a very important part of what he’s standing for. And that this censoring of information needs to stop. And that we need to stop all government influence in what people have to say.”
American’s most important liberty is free speech found in our First Amendment, and is fundamental to the American way of life.
In the last days of the 2024 presidential campaign, Rogan notably invited Donald Trump to his show, where they had a lengthy, three-hour conversation. Additionally, the podcaster sought to invite Kamala Harris to participate on his show, but the Democrat finally declined after Rogan objected to the lengthy list of conditions she tried to place on the appearance, which included Rogan having to travel to her location, and restricting the interview to one hour, with her handlers in the room. Trump set no conditions and his interview with Rogan reached over 49 million listeners and viewers.
How did that work out? More people need to feel free to speak their mind, regardless of the consequences. This era of cancel culture can’t end soon enough.
