Noah Centineo is taking over the role of a younger John Rambo, but he still hasn’t spoken directly with Sylvester Stallone, the actor who made the character famous. Centineo confirmed the news during an interview with Josh Horowitz on the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast. He said his busy schedule kept him from meeting Stallone, although he hopes to visit him in Florida and discuss the role. That isn’t exactly reassuring for a prequel built around one of action cinema’s most recognizable characters. “Not directly, no, not yet,” Centineo said. He explained that he traveled to Australia before filming, worked in Thailand during production, and returned to Australia soon after the shoot ended. After that, he took a family vacation.
