The seductive demon model is back on the runway again as Corin Howell‘s LILITH #1 heads back for a second printing. Vault announced that the second printing would release on the same day as the second volume of Lilith on November 6. With the second printing comes a new fashionable look in the form of two new covers which can be viewed below.
Cover A is a vibrant red while Cover B is a NSFW Black Bag:
Written and illustrated by Howell, Warnia Sahadewa supplied the colors while Jim Campbell did the lettering, and Tim Daniel did the designs. With the spicy horror in Lilith, the comic book series acted as THRESHOLD’s inaugural title for sci-fi, fantasy, and horror works with a spicy twist.
Here’s the synopsis:
Lilith is an immortal who’s been banished from her home, a dimensional plane suspiciously similar to mankind’s idea of Hell. She’s been posing as a model on Earth while secretly preying on humans… that is, until she runs into Penelope, a sweet bookstore owner with a tome that might hold the secret to returning Lilith to her dimension. If the mismatched pair doesn’t end up falling in love first! “Watch out, boy, she’ll chew you up.”
“Lilith started as a way to deal with my OCD and some past trauma that burned me on the inside,” said Howell in an interview with the beat back in July. “At first, it was just an illustration of this dark-haired woman who either slaughtered an enemy or ate a lover who had scorned her, thus sending her down a spiral of cannibalistic madness. But over time, as I drew her more and more, her personality started to take shape— this demonic creature lady that eats anyone that pisses her off. I have my friend Sasha to thank for coming up with the name “Lilith” when we were brainstorming names one day on Discord. I started seeing her as an outcast in the eyes of people she once trusted, and we follow her story as she picks up the pieces, similar to the trauma I’ve dealt with. I’m throwing in the blood, guts, and gore with a side helping of sexiness because I’m a horror fan.”
Lilith #1 and #2 will be available in bookstores on November 6.
