Marvel Comics has announced a new holiday-themed adventure arriving this December. An all-star lineup of creators join forces for the new story, which sees classic Marvel heroes celebrating the holiday season.
Marvel Holiday Tales to Astonish will be a special one-shot featuring three heartwarming, inspirational and action-packed stories starring characters from The Fantastic Four, the X-Men and Spider-Man. Marvel unveiled four covers for the issue, including pieces by Luciano Vecchio, Leonardo Romeo, a wraparound homage cover by Lee Garbett and a 'Hidden Gem' variant cover by Gil Kane and John Romita Sr. The publisher also gave fans a preview of interior art from all three stories. Marvel Holiday Tales to Astonish #1 goes on sale Dec. 4.

The first story sees The Fantastic Four throwing a holiday party when an uninvited guest decides to spread "doom" instead of cheer. Next, the Uncanny X-Men's Kitty Pryde saves the day while shopping for gifts for her new teammates in a special Hanukkah story. Lastly, Spider-Man finds out if he can stick to his New Year's resolution as well as he sticks to walls in a story that sees both Peter Parker and Miles Morales ring in the New Year on an adventure together.
Deadpool, Loki and More Join Marvel's Holiday Celebration
Last month, Marvel unveiled its December solicits and revealed that even more holiday-themed stories and artwork are on the way. Ultimate Spider-Man #12 will conclude Peter Parker's first year in the new story with 'A Very Merry Spider-Christmas', including a special Winter Holiday variant cover. Exceptional X-Men #4, Miles Morales: Spider-Man #27, Spider-Boy #14, Scarlet Witch #7, Incredible Hulk #20 and Daredevil #16 will also receive special winter-themed variant covers throughout December.

Deadpool's lovable Dogpool, Catpool, and Mousepool will go on a special holiday adventure in Petpool: Pool Party, which also collects in print the Dogpool Team-Up Infinity Comic one-shots which originally debuted this summer on Marvel Unlimited. Lastly, the mischievous Loki will have a brand-new holiday story in Alligator Loki Holiday Special #1. Marvel has teased that Loki's adventure will feature guest appearances by his many friends in the Marvel Universe, including the X-Men, Young Avengers, and 'several' Symbiotes. The Deadpool and Loki one-shots will be available on Dec. 11 and Dec. 18 respectively.
Marvel Holiday Tales to Astonish #1 can be pre-ordered now, and will go on sale Dec. 4 from Marvel Comics.
