Mary Jane Watson is ready to take the spotlight away from Spider-Man with her own starring role. Marvel has officially announced Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane, arriving this November. The new series was revealed during the Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Ashley Allen will lead the new story, with art by Phil Noto. Along with the series announcement, Marvel also unveiled cover art for the first issue, set to go on sale on November 4th. Mary Jane's new starring role will spin out of the recently released Mary Jane: Face It Tiger, which went on sale Aug. 5. The publisher teased that MJ will be "separated from the symbiote and launching her own business venture in New York City" with an impressive supporting cast that includes Black Cat and Iron Man.
