Age of Revelation Takes Place 10 Years in the Future
The official solicit synopsis for X-Vengers #1 from Marvel Comics reads, "EARTH’S MIGHTIEST…HATED AND FEARED! X YEARS LATER, Earth still needs the Avengers…but what happens when those who are left have transformed into mutants?! Dani Moonstar leads a new team of Avengers (Hawkeye, Vision, Water Widow, Shang-Chi, Variable Man and Cannonball) to protect the planet! But can these “X-Vengers” protect all of Earth, including the Revelation Territories?!"
First teased back in early July, Marvel Comics' Age of Revelation will be a whole new storyline following in the footsteps of the original Age of Apocalypse. The storyline will be explored in full with the release of Age of Revelation #0 by writer Jed MacKay and artist Humberto Ramos, though fans will have to wait until October before the Age of Revelation truly gets underway. At the heart of the Age of Revelation is Revelation himself, the mutant formerly known as Doug Ramsey, aka Cypher, who was chosen to be the living heir to Apocalypse's legacy and mission, and as such underwent a drastic transformation process that turned him into a whole new kind of mutant powerhouse.
