The series features a young Peter Parker as he navigates both high school and his earliest days as Spider-Man. Along the way, Peter encounters all manner of more capable heroes, takes on terrifying villains, and even watches one of his closest friends slowly lose themselves to the darker side of having powers.
Upon its release, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man was lauded by critics, earning the series a near-perfect 97% "Certified Fresh" rating via review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, as averaged across 38 critical reviews of Season 1. For comparison, Season 1 also holds a mere 62% audience-generated "Popcornmeter" score on the platform, as averaged across more than 1,000 user-submitted reviews.
Currently, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2, which is slated to premiere on Disney+ sometime later this year.
