Narnia Reshoots Scheduled After Mixed Test Screenings

Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew is hitting some bumps before its big 2027 rollout. According to World of Reel, Greta Gerwig’s take on the C.S. Lewis classic just wrapped a rough test screening in Paramus, New Jersey, and the response was mixed at best. Sources tell The InSneider that Netflix executives were not thrilled, and now reshoots are locked in for London. That’s not the kind of news a studio wants this close to release. The version shown to test audiences ran about two hours and still had unfinished visual effects, so it looked and felt incomplete. Gerwig sat in on the screening to hear what people thought, but the feedback reportedly underwhelmed Netflix brass. Unlike David Fincher, who called for reshoots on his own Cliff Booth project, this time it’s the streamer telling Gerwig more work is needed.
