NYCC ’24: ASTONISHING INFINITY COMICS line launched TODAY on Marvel Unlimited

1 month ago 7

At its “Next Big Thing” panel at New York Comic Con on Thursday, Marvel announced a new line of weekly, ongoing Astonishing Infinity Comics series in the Marvel Unlimited app. Starting today, anyone can read Astonishing Spider-Man issues #1-#2, written by Scott Aukerman and drawn by Salva Espin, with at least two more series to come.

“Whether you’re a regular reader of Spidey, or you’ve never even read a single comic featuring the ol’ Wall-Crawler before, there’ll be something in Astonishing Spider-Man for you!” Aukerman said.

“I wanted to start our book by putting Peter into a terrible situation which doesn’t have any easy outs, and let’s just say it gets worse as it goes along! It’s the kind of thing that is going to really make Peter Parker examine why he does what he does, and whether he should even continue doing it,” he continued.

Astonishing Spider-Man #1 and #2 are available for free for a limited time as part of Marvel’s “Infinity Comics: Start Scrolling” program, which launched earlier this year to give fans instant access to select titles without the need for a Marvel Unlimited subscription or even a login.

Beginning in December, the Astonishing Infinity Comics line will also include Astonishing X-Men, written by Alex Paknadel and Tim Seeley, and drawn by and Phillip Sevy. Then Astonishing Avengers will join the party in January 2025, written by Steve Orlando and drawn by Francesco Archidiacono.
