Sat, Oct 19, 2024
3:15 PM – 4:15 PM

On-screen horror has long employed storytelling devices like jump-scare, controlled pacing, and suspenseful music to build eerie atmospheres and create a sense of dread. But how do you master the art of telling truly terrifying tales on the page? Creators of horror comics and novels have mastered this art, invoking these emotions purely through dialogue and still images or scrolling. Whether you’re a horror aficionado, an aspiring creator, or simply curious about the inner workings of fear-inducing storytelling, hear from some of the biggest names (and most twisted minds) in horror storytelling today on how they are creating panic on the page.
