After being left by herself in the haunted town of Marshview, Ivy's unlikely friend Janet makes a call to none other than Killer Croc. Introduced in G. Willow Wilson and Emma Rios' story "Ophiocordyceps Lamia" from the pages of 2022's oversized Gotham City Villains Anniversary Giant #1, Janet Mitchell, better known as Janet-from-HR, was a human resources worker at a Gotham chemical plant who became a fast-friend of both Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. In the years since her debut, Janet-from-HR has been an ever-present fixture in Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn's lives, becoming an unofficial member of their tight-knit team. Janet-from-HR has even played a key role in various storylines, including the events of DC's Night Terrors, which saw nearly every hero and villain on the planet trapped in a nightmare realm by the villainous Insomnia.
Waylon Jones, better known as Killer Croc, made his DC Comics debut all the way back in 1983's Detective Comics #523 by Gerry Conway and Gene Colan. Waylon was born with a rare condition that caused him to develop his oversized physique along with his iconic reptilian appearance. After being abandoned as a child, Waylon quickly fell into a life of crime, which his superhuman strength and shocking appearance only helped cement due to the terror he so easily instilled in others.

Despite having served largely as a villain for the likes of the Caped Crusader, Killer Croc is one of several heroes including Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn who have slipped firmly into antivillain territory in recent years. Like Ivy and Harley, Killer Croc has slowly shifted away from his former habits, ultimately stepping up to save the day with surprising frequency. Killer Croc has even teamed up with heroes such as Nightwing, further proving that there is far more than meets the eye when it comes to Batman's most monstrous enemy.
