Paramount+ Wants to Get More Taylor Sheridan Before 2029

Taylor Sheridan’s television run at Paramount is heading toward its final stretch. His current TV deal ends in 2028, and a new five-year agreement with NBCUniversal is set to begin in 2029. The move will shift Sheridan’s focus toward both film and television projects outside Paramount. Sheridan built his Paramount portfolio around Yellowstone, which led to shows such as 1883, 1923, Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, Landman and Lioness. The franchise also recently expanded with The Madison and Dutton Ranch. Paramount+, however, isn’t waiting for Sheridan’s exit. The streaming service plans to release more of his projects before the deal ends, including the Tulsa King spinoff Frisco King, which stars Samuel L. Jackson. No premiere date has been announced for the new series. In an interview with Deadline, Paramount+ Head of Originals Jane Wiseman said the company wants to keep Sheridan’s pipeline moving.
