Philbo Distro Making it Easier for Comic Shops to Stock Indie Comics

Philbo Distribution has a few changes coming in 2027, all aimed at making independent comics easier to discover, order, and keep on store shelves. Retailers can expect a new printed catalog, a 50% discount on every order, limited returns, and an ordering deadline that’s closer to release day. Starting January 1, 2027, Philbo’s new printed catalog will give comic shops another way to browse upcoming releases and plan what to stock. It’ll also give independent publishers another place to get their books in front of retailers. For shops, the pricing is straightforward. Every order gets a 50% retailer discount, whether it’s for one comic or a mix of titles. There’s no minimum purchase and no discount tiers to figure out. Smaller shops won’t have to place bigger orders just to get the same pricing as everyone else. Philbo’s also introducing a limited, no-questions-asked return policy to make trying unfamiliar titles a little less risky. Retailers can return eligible comics within 30 days, with the number of returns based on the order’s value before shipping.
