This story explores what “heroes” mean through three unrelated stories: GW Bridge speaking with Tony Stark about why he doesn’t want to be in SHIELD without Nick Fury. Winter Soldier wanting to beat the crap out of Punisher for dressing up like Captain America in the last story arc.
And a patient in a mental ward discussing heroes in the context of Stamford, where Nitro blew up a school bus and killed members of the patient’s family.
The Bucky story ends with Punisher giving him Captain America’s mask, which Punisher managed to recover.
Another home run for Matt Fraction’s Punisher War Journal. Nothing here is important, but it’s so, so well done.
