Star Spangled War Stories v1 #79, 1959 - At first glance, the pilot appears to look toward the reader. The bullets streaming from the right suggest another enemy plane coming from a different direction. Joe Kubert's cover could have benefited from more clarity. Not one of his best efforts, I also dislike how the shattered glass falls too conveniently around the margins. Other artists in this golden age war comic include Russ Heath.
