Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 Episode 8 Recap/Review – “Orders of Magnitude”

There’s the official story, there’s the truth, and then there’s what really happened. Lieutenant Commander James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley) is back on the Enterprise (again), and he and his brother, Lieutenant George Samuel (Sam) Kirk (Dan Jeannotte) gain a new perspective on their father when his former CO takes over the Enterprise for his own vendetta. Meanwhile, Enterprise CO Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) and his First Officer, Number One / Commander Una Chin-Riley (Rebecca Romijn) are on a Class-M moon investigating a faint SOS signal. With them are Ensign Nyota Uhura (Celia Rosa Gooding), Nurse Christine Chapel (Jess Bush), and Cadet A’Sha (Bianca Nugara) on her first away mission as well as some unwelcome Andorians with a bone to pick with Starfleet. “Orders of Magnitude” was a thrilling adventure with shades of Crimson Tide and A Few Good Men. Actions have consequences, and that includes choosing when to follow orders and when not to. Stardate 2179.3 Jim Kirk is on a shuttle heading back to his own ship, U.S.S.
