"Superman" Soars to Historic Pre-Sale Numbers Ahead of July Debut

James Gunn's highly anticipated Superman has already taken flight at the box office - weeks before its official theatrical release. The upcoming superhero epic has shattered records on Fandango, becoming 2025's #1 best first-day ticket pre-seller thanks to its exclusive Amazon Prime early access screenings.
Beginning June 10, Amazon Prime members were granted special access to purchase tickets for advance screenings on July 8 at 7 p.m. local time - three full days ahead of the film's nationwide release on July 11. The tickets were made available through Fandango via amazon.com/superman, and demand skyrocketed immediately, setting a new benchmark for fan anticipation.
The record-breaking presales underscore the overwhelming excitement surrounding Superman, which introduces a bold new vision of the iconic hero under the creative direction of writer-director James Gunn and marks the first official chapter of DC Studios' reimagined cinematic universe.
