Jason is an award-winning journalist whose writing career dates back to when he developed the ability to use a crayon. He, most notably, worked previously as a "professional fan," as he likes to call it, at CinemaBlend, for which he wrote about anything and everything under the pop culture umbrella... especially Batman. His passion for the art of cinema began even earlier, stemming from repeat viewings of The Wizard of Oz.
This initially led him to pursue a career in filmmaking -- and even work briefly in the industry as an extra in the straight-to-video family film, Alice Upside Down -- before deciding that his talents would be better served discussing and showing appreciation for the various forms of entertainment he is passionate about.
It is next to impossible to collect every single comic book published by DC Comics in the company's history. Still, most of its full roster is available with a subscription to DC Universe Infinite. The digital reading platform actually just added several new must-read releases.
As of May 27, 2026, five new DC Finest titles are now available to read on DC Universe Infinite for the first time.
This line of full-color trade paperbacks, first announced in 2024 at that year's ComicsPRO Comics Conference, presents a comprehensive collection of stories that follow some of DC's most beloved heroes during pivotal eras in their legacies. Of course, it is not just exclusive to costumed vigilantes, but specific genres, from sci-fi to horror.
Among the collections finally included on DCUI is DC Finest: Supergirl: The Girl of Steel, which was originally published in paperback in Jan. 2025. Just in time for the release of the DCU's Supergirl movie on Jun. 26, readers can get to know Kara Zor-El by experiencing some of her earliest adventures during the Silver Age.
Those who cannot get enough of Superman's cousin should have no fear, as there is another recently added special collection putting her in the spotlight. DC Finest: Supergirl: Die and Let Live explores her heroic efforts from the late 1990s, which include crossover issues from Resurrection Man, Team Superman, and more.
The Supergirl movie is sure to make audiences fall even deeper in love with the superpowered dog, Krypto, which is why DC Finest: Superboy: The Superdog from Krypton is sure to be a popular title on DCUI this summer. This collection curates Silver Age tales from Adventure Comics and Superboy that follow a younger Clark Kent fighting crime with the help of his furry best friend.
Things are also sure to get hairy in DCUI's latest addition, which celebrates some of the strangest stories DC has ever published. DC Finest: Science Fiction: The Gorilla World is a sci-fi anthology comic book following mid-century tales from Action Comics, Strange Adventures, and Mystery in Space that take place in a Planet of the Apes-esque reality.
However, for those who prefer to keep themselves up at night with horror anthology comic books, DCUI certainly has them covered as well. Spooky stories from the Bronze Age, originating from essential series like House of Secrets, House of Mystery, and The Witching Hour, can be found in DC Finest: Horror: The Devil’s Doorway.
There Are More DC Finest Collections To Come
Image via DC ComicsThere are certainly more DC Finest titles to look forward to on DC Universe Infinite, where these came from. In fact, there are plans to release more special collections to the digital platform throughout the summer.
For instance, there will be plenty more for fans of the Man of Steel and other heroes affiliated with him coming in June. DC Finest: Superman Family: The Giant Turtle Man comes to DCUI on June 9, followed by DC Finest: Superman: Kryptonite Nevermore a week later, and DC Finest: Supergirl: Body & Soul a week after that. Superboy also plays a pivotal role in the stories collected in DC Finest: Legion of Super-Heroes: Zap Goes the Legion, which gets added on June 30.
The following month will be a treat for fans of the John Cena-led TV show, Peacemaker, as DCUI will have DC Finest: Peacemaker: Kill for Peace available on July 7. A week from then, some of the earliest adventures of the original iteration of Blue Beetle come to the platform in DC Finest: Blue Beetle: Blue Beetle Challenges the Red Knight, which gets added on July 14.
The following week, readers can learn all about Batman's greatest sidekick with the July 21 addition of DC Finest: Robin: The Origin of Robin. As preparation for the upcoming Lanterns series, fans can see a famous story that partners Hal Jordon with Oliver "Green Arrow" Queen in DC Finest: Green Lantern: Hard-Traveling Heroes, which hits DCUI on July 28.
Select DC Finest titles are now available to read on DC Infinite.
