Taylor Sheridan Blasts Nancy Pelosi’s Wealth & Other Politicians

Taylor Sheridan, the creator of Yellowstone, is speaking out about what he sees as a growing threat to the rule of law in the United States. During a recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, Sheridan warned that political actions against President Donald Trump could set a dangerous precedent.

“It’s so dangerous what we’re seeing,” Sheridan said. He argued that personal opinions about Trump should not lead to ignoring federal authority. He pointed to what he described as open defiance of the federal government by political opponents.

Sheridan said the long-term impact could be serious. He explained that once one side refuses to follow the law, the other side may do the same when power shifts. “We’ve established this precedent,” he said. “They’re just not going to follow his laws either. And now we’ve eroded the rule of law.”

Podcast host Joe Rogan agreed with the concern and said the situation could lead to a dangerous path forward.

Sheridan also criticized lawmakers in Washington, saying many are focused only on short-term political wins. He pointed to ongoing discussions about changing long-standing government rules, including the electoral college and the filibuster. He argued these efforts are driven by which party is in power at the moment, not by what is best for the country.

As a solution, Sheridan called for term limits in Congress. He suggested a cap of 12 years for both the House and Senate, saying it would reduce long-term political entrenchment.

He also raised concerns about wealth among longtime politicians, using former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as an example. Sheridan questioned how elected officials can build large personal fortunes while in office, suggesting the system allows for conflicts of interest.

“How the fuck is Nancy Pelosi worth $400 million? How the fuck?” Sheridan says at one point, “I know how. Yeah. She gets in on all these IPOs. Then she’s going to pass the legislation that allows Visa to go public and then she’s going to get a big chunk of it and then when she’s confronted about it, look a reporter dead in the eye and fucking lie to him”

Sheridan ended by warning that these issues reflect deeper problems in the political system, saying he believes the current path we’re on will weaken public trust and damage the country’s institutions if left unchecked.
