Ryan Smith is located just south of Boston and is a lifelong fan of movies, comics, music and all things pop culture... and pro wrestling, but don't hold that against him.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has been a staple in many comic readers' lives since the 1980s, with the debut of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 dropping all the way back in 1984.

In July, the biggest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic of the year will hit comic bookshops everywhere. Everybody's favorite four crime-fighting, sewer-dwelling brothers — Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michaelangelo — will achieve their 300th issue grandly. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #300 will kick off the blockbuster storyline "The City That Never Dies," and will feature a fan-focused Blind Bag cover program with an incredibly impressive roster of all-star artists — including Juan Ferreyra and Ito.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles look to be in absolutely no hurry to slow down. The four iconic reptilian brothers will soon be celebrating a brand-new milestone with their well-deserved 300th issue. IDW Publishing is pulling out all the stops for this one, so fans of the heroes in a half-shell should get ready to brace themselves.

This celebration of the incredible and legendary Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic series is a spectacular way to remember all the good that these particular characters and their adventures did for both comic fans and the comic industry. Whether they were presented as dark-and-gritty ground-level heroes fighting corruption in New York City or cartoon icons who travel to different dimensions to tackle other-worldly threats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has remained true to itself no matter what — and that's saying something, for a comic approaching 300 issues.

While an incredible way to roll out TMNT's 300th issue, there will be no rest for the brothers themselves as the book will officially launch the "The City That Never Dies" story. With the Ninja Turtles' mother and Splinter resurrected, the family stands united. Clan Hamato is stronger than ever — and they'll certainly need that strength to battle what's on the horizon. A danger unlike anything the Ninja Turtles have ever faced looms, threatening to destroy the worlds of not only the living, but also the dead.

This biggest TMNT epic yet begins here with "The City That Never Dies," brought to fans by Eisner Award-winning writer Gene Luen Yang, joined by celebrated artists Freddie E. Williams II and Fero Pe. As a special bonus to add to the 300th issue milestone, readers are invited to experience a wild trip through TMNT's history with co-writers Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz and classic TMNT artists Ben Bates, Eric Talbot, Chris Allan, Frank Fosco, Jim Lawson, and Dan Duncan.

Only ever expected there to be a one-off comic between two friends — legendary creators Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman — Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has reached live action film, animation, video games, novels, toys--and just about anything a young comic creator could hope their art to achieve. TMNT was able to do this all while staying consistent with the varied tones of each unique — yet just similar enough — iteration of the four turtle brothers who appeared across such a vast ocean of media.

The deadline to pre-order Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #300 and your favorite covers ends on June 1. Contact your local comic shop to guarantee your copy of what will undoubtedly go down as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles history.
