The Batman Part II Set Video Reveals Robert Pattinson’s New Suit

Warner Bros. is moving forward with The Batman Part II, the next chapter in Matt Reeves’ standalone Gotham saga. Robert Pattinson will return as Batman, with Andy Serkis back as Alfred Pennyworth and Jeffrey Wright reprising his role as Jim Gordon. The sequel will take place outside the main DC Universe being developed by DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran. The cast will also include newcomers Scarlett Johansson, known for Black Widow, and Sebastian Stan, who appeared in Winter Soldier. Production finally began in June 2026, more than four years after the release of Reeves’ 2022 film, The Batman. The sequel’s release was later delayed until early 2028, extending the wait for Pattinson’s return to the big screen. A new set video shared by Instagram user @jas.cinema offers another look at the production. The dark footage appears to show Pattinson wearing Batman’s new costume, although the iconic black cape isn’t visible.
