“Wolves & Witches”

The Danes had savaged the coastlines of England for several winters. This, Wulfhere would corroborate. For his men were some of the finest warriors he had ever set sail with. However, no Dane had ever shown more ferocity in combat than the Gael, Cormac Mac Art. 

Cormac was a swordsman of great spirit and showed extraordinary prowess in combat. Yet his most notable exploit was that of saving Wulfhere from the old witch when their ship was lost at sea. This is the tale of Cormac Mac Art and the Sea Hag of the Emerald Isles.

Review 

The Savage Sword Of Conan continues to get better and better with each sequential issue. In the story “Tattered Wings”, we discover that an older and wiser Conan has insight into worlds outside his earthly domain. It’s unclear, but Conan does state otherworldly treasures have turned to dust within his hands. 

“Tattered Wings” alone earns this issue five stars. The return of Cormac Mac Art is just the icing on the cake. If you are a fan of the black and white books, you better get this one today. Crom commands thee!
