Time for TCAF — In Two Weeks!

Toronto Comic Arts Festival TCAF poster 2025

I’m thrilled to be attending the Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF) this year. It’s held June 7 and 8, and this year has a new, larger location — Mattamy Athletic Centre. It used to be in the public library downtown, which was charming (and also had a Sherlock Holmes archive), but I believe there are renovations going on, and they can use the larger space.

If I remember correctly, I was last at TCAF in 2019. (Wow, I still haven’t read some of the books in that picture. Life, you know?) I tried to attend in 2022, but as the result of the worst travel experience I’ve ever had, I instead ended up trapped in the Atlanta airport for 36 hours and then went home.

So this year is going to be great! There’s new management, and they’re getting back on their feet after pandemic and changes and all, so I am going in with few expectations and the chance to find books new to me. Oh, and attendance is free!

If you’ll be there, let me know! I’d love to say hi to readers or check out people’s works. The festival poster (shown below) is by Faith Erin Hicks, a terrific artist and graphic novelist.
