These issues introduce a full, new cast of side characters recruited by another new cast member: Noah van Helsing. He was adopted by August Van Helsing, who was a minor character in Tomb of Dracula, and became a vampire hunter. His recruits, under Blade’s leadership, are able to stop Dracula from performing a ritual that would make him a “God.”
But obviously, they are not able to kill him permanently.
Nothing bad here, but it’s hard to sustain interest in a series with a half-dozen new characters knowing that none of them will ever be seen again. Still, if you’re a fan of Dracula stories and just want another one to read, this isn’t a bad choice.
And after all, it is the day before Halloween….
