Uh-Oh: ‘Landman’ Season 3 Update Raises Questions

Landman has given Paramount+ viewers a mix of oil industry drama, family conflict, and plenty of eye-catching moments. The Taylor Sheridan series has also built a strong audience, but its biggest advantage may be slipping away. The show’s yearly release schedule now appears to be over. Paramount+ renewed Landman for a third season on Dec. 5, 2025, less than three weeks after Season 2 premiered. The announcement came after the series delivered strong viewing numbers for the streaming service. However, Paramount+ still hasn’t announced a release date for the new season. The first season premiered on Nov. 17, 2024. Season 2 followed on Nov. 16, 2025, giving fans a new season almost exactly one year later. That steady schedule made Landman easier to follow than many modern streaming shows, which often leave viewers waiting for years. That pattern now appears to be changing. Production plans for Season 3 have reportedly moved from May to late August and then to September. James Jordan, who appears in the series, said filming could continue into the first quarter of 2027.
