The Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum in Hollywood, California, is currently showcasing an impressive collection of vintage Superman memorabilia that was acquired during the 2017 Profiles in History Hollywood Auction. From the classic days of television to the beloved films of the late 20th century, these artifacts offer a glimpse into the cultural phenomenon that is Superman.
Items on display include an original red fabric cape, belt buckle, and muscled undersuit worn by actor George Reeves during the television series, "Adventures of Superman" which aired from 1952 to 1958; an original walking cape worn by actor Christopher Reeve in "Superman The Movie" and "Superman II"; a Superman costume worn by actor Dean Cain in the 1990s television series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman" complete with cape, tunic, and leggings.
Also showcased in the collection is a unique piece of artwork created entirely from Pepsi cans featuring a portrait of Christopher Reeve in an iconic pose as the Man of Steel.
