While Madrox tries (and fails) to smooth things over with Siryn and Monet (“he” slept with both of them, at the same time, via one of his dupes), Guido goes to the widow of Dr. Buchanan and confesses to her that he killed her husband while mind-controlled by Hydra and Tryp.  She forgives him, and wants to help them take down Singularity Investigations.

Siryn and Monet decide to bond together over their anger at Jamie and go to Paris, where they get embroiled in some local violence against mutants and get thrown in jail.

While there, they kill some mutant-haters before busting out of jail and heading home—with a French mutant fugitive.  In the course of their escape, we the readers (but not Siryn and Monet) see a mysterious figure who assists them in getting past the French policy.

That’s a guy named Isolationist.  He’ll be a player in this series.

Meanwhile, Madrox realizes that he’s lost control over his dupes and begins the process of reabsorbing them.  In the process, he gets kidnapped by Hydra.  The terrorists try to brainwash him—the same way they did to Guido—but it backfires and causes him to multiply to the point that he crushes the Hydra agents.

The more he multiplies, the thinner the brainwashing gets, and Madrox breaks free.  He then heads to Vermont to absorb a dupe who has been living as a pastor and now has a family.  It shows that the dupes have their own lives, and Madrox’s re-absorption will disrupt those lives.  Madrox decides to let this one stay free.
