Previously announced during its 20th anniversary in September 2023, the volume includes two short stories that were previously published in Kadokawa’s The Sneaker magazine plus a brand new sequel to both of those stories. The light novel will follow the “Fantasy” and “Galaxy” arcs which originally appeared in the first eleven volumes released from 2003 to 2011 under Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko.

Considered an Internet phenomenon and an icon, Haruhi Suzumiya received several manga spin-offs beginning in March 2004. An anime adaptation, produced by Kyoto Animation, also released in April 2006 and ran until October 2009 with two seasons. The series also inspired a film adaptation called The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya which will screen on December 14 as part of the Tokorozawa Sakura Town event.

The Theater of Haruhi Suzumiya will release first digitally on November 29, then in print at a later unannounced date.
