Marvel has officially announced a new miniseries starring the character for later this year. Marvel confirmed the news that Jessica Jones: Alias will send the beloved heroine on her "strangest case yet" when it launches this holiday season on Dec. 23. The news was first announced at Entertainment Weekly, with the solicit revealing the new series "follows the breakout character as she tackles a case unlike any she’s tackled before, one that pulls her far beyond her stomping ground in Hell’s Kitchen." Jessica Jones: Alias will be written by legendary Marvel scribe Brian Michael Bendis with art by Michael Gaydos, and Marvel also unveiled the cover art for the first issue by David Mack.
