Marvel's darkest hero is heading for the confrontation of a lifetime.
Marvel Comics has only recently revealed the covers for the first issue of the upcoming Spirits of Violence series from writer Sabir Pirzada and artist Paul Davidson. This exciting new series will tie together the entire Ghost Rider saga, bringing together numerous heroes who have held that mantle ranging from Jonny Blaze, Danny Ketch, Robbie Reyes, Kushala, Fantasma, and even the Hellverine himself, all of whom find their loved ones under attack by the malevolent and mysterious Spirit of Violence.

Fans previously got their first look at the series back in January, not long after the ongoing battle between Johnny and numerous malevolent forces in the pages of Spirits of Vengeance by writer Sabir Pirzada and artist Devmalya Pramanik. The series saw various characters who had been touched by such infernal power caught up in a sprawling story that had been set in motion years prior. Among the most prominent of these figures was the demon Zala, aka Vengeance, who was relentless in its search for its former partner and host, Michael Badalino, who will likely have his part to play when Spirits of Violence arrives later this year.

Pirzada himself opened up about continuing his long-running Ghost Rider saga, saying, "Those who read our previous series, Spirits of Vengeance, already know that the host for the Spirit of Violence is none other than Barbara Ketch. That's right! Danny's sister has returned from the dead, and she's already killed Linda Littletrees." Pirzada continued, "That was always intended to be the kickoff to what I'm referring to as the ‘Violent Era’ of Ghost Rider, where all bets are off. The end of issue 2 in particular will prove that we are not playing it safe."
Spirits of Violence #1 goes on sale this October from Marvel Comics.
