The Post-Journal gave a report about a specialty store in Chautauqua County that’s contributing to Batman Day. At the beginning, they even describe it in a way I’m not sure was emphasized when the event began a dozen years ago: Batman/Batgirl Day is an annual event that celebrates and promotes everything related to Batman, according to DC Entertainment, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Discovery. What version of Batgirl are they talking about, by the way? Somehow, I don’t think they’re talking about the women who wore the outfit, like Barbara Gordon or even Cassandra Cain, probably the only 2 characters written well enough within a certain timeframe to qualify as representing the costume. After the early 2000s, lest we forget, things went downhill, even for Cassie.
