Adventures on the Planet of the Apes v1 #1, 1975 - Overstreet's Comic Book Price Guide credits this cover to Jim Starlin, but other sources disagree. After closer examination, the details seem to point to Rich Bucker and Joe Sinnott. Inside this issue, the movie adaptation from Planet of the Apes magazine begins, reprinted here in color for the first time. There is no Mike Ploog art, despite what some comic book guides say. The artist's work does appear in 10 issues of Planet of the Apes magazine. Artists in this bronze age science fiction comic include George Tuska and Mike Esposito.
