Aliens vs. Avengers is Turned Upside Down by a Major Marvel Villain

2 weeks ago 8

Marvel's first major crossover between the Aliens property and its Marvel superheroes has surprised (and impressed) fans with its epic scope, as Marvel has used one of its most popular creative teams (the creators behind the hit Marvel crossover, Secret Wars) to tell an expansive tale set in the distant future of the last remaining Marvel superheroes in a universe where the Xenomorphs have killed most of humanity. Now, the remaining heroes of the Marvel universe have to deal with yet another piece of bad luck, as in this CBR exclusive preview of the finale to the Aliens vs. Avengers crossover, we see a major Marvel villain get involved to help the Xenomorphs become even HARDER to defeat.

Aliens vs. Avengers #4 is from writer Jonathan Hickman, artist Esad Ribić, colorist Ive Svorcina, and letterer Cory Petit, and it picks up where the remaining Avengers have left Earth with a small remaining group of humans, and have landed on Mars, which was colonized by the X-Men. This planet, though, has also been overrun by the Xenomorphs, and so most of the humans brought to the planet have been killed, so it is just a handful of Avengers and X-Men left, but luckily, the Wakandans have returned from outer space to lend a hand in the final battle.

Aliens vs. Avengers #3 Review: Welcome to the Crossover, X-Men, Hope You Survive the Experience

In a CBR review of Aliens vs. Avengers #3, we see how the X-Men are drawn into this epic and deadly crossover event by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribić

In the preview pages, we see the classic X-Men villain, Mister Sinister, has embraced the Xenomorphs on Mars, and has been experimenting on them, using his own clones of himself to test new forms of the Xenomorphs, and as we watch, the latest form of the Xenomorphs bursts forth from one of Sinister's own bodies, as he delights in the results.

It appears that Sinister has developed the ULTIMATE Xenomorph, which bodes very poorly for the remaining heroes in this version of the Marvel Universe. If you want to see how that all shakes down, however, you'll have to pick up a copy of Aliens vs. Avengers #4, out next week!
