All Star Western #63 |
All-Star Western v1 #63, 1952 - A perplexing letter from a friend prompts the Roving Ranger to see him in Salt Flats. On the way, he runs into cattle rustlers at a full gallop. Alex Toth's artwork is nothing to write home about. His layouts and renderings accomplish the bare minimum in storytelling. Once again, the inker does little justice to the pencils. The streamlining only makes the drawings less distinctive. Other artists in this golden age comic include Carmine Infantino. This is 5 of 6 All-Star Western issues by Toth.
