Amazing Spider-Man #1000 Reveals The One Villain Who Can Rewrite Peter Parker's Future

Spider-Man will have a banner year in 2026, and you can take that all the way to the Federal Reserve, because the character is basically printing money at this point. Tom Holland's live-action version is projected to cross the billion-dollar box office threshold, yet again, when Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters worldwide on July 31.

Spider-Man Fans Should 'Brace' Themselves for Ravage

When asked what to expect from Ravage in Amazing Spider-Man #1000, writer Joe Kelly didn't hold back.

"[Be] very braced. The most braced. We engineered Ravage in a lab to terrify and enrage and torture Peter at maximum potential. Aiming for 'that guy you love to hate' and hoping that he’ll haunt readers for a long time," Kelly told ComicBook.com, the sentiment being echoed loudly by artist Pepe Larraz.

"About our villain, you’re absolutely right, visuals really sell the baddie. We wanted Ravage to look like nothing we had seen before in a Spider-Man book," said Larraz. "His powers are pretty amazing by themselves, so I wanted to create a look that shows the threat he implies for Spidey’s life."
