My Sunday cartoon above is likely to confuse a few readers of old-fashioned newspapers, but you Jazz Pickles are too smart to think I’d allow Bizarro to merge with Garfield, no matter how much Jim Davis begs. This bit of satire is as close as we want to get to Ol’ Tuna Breath, as we less financially successful cartoonists call him.
More importantly, it’s a special week here at Bizarro Craptastic Industries as we have reason to celebrate!
Our Vice President of Weekday Comics and Saturday Satire, Wayno®, has been nominated once again for a Silver Reuben Award from the National Cartoonists Society in the category of Best Newspaper Panel! Huzzah!
This marks the ?th time he’s been nominated in this division, which he won just last year! He’s already got a studio full of all kinds of awards and trophies, but he just keeps hitting comics outta the park, so I’ve recommended that if he wins again this year, he rent one of those storage containers that sits in your driveway and lowers the property values of your entire neighborhood.
Here is one of the handful of comics from last year that he submitted for the judging. I still love this one, even when I’m not tripping on acid.
